Dragon Quest VIII for Nintendo 3DS won’t make use of the handheld’s most iconic feature.
According to the latest issue of Famitsu (via Nintendo Everything), the upcoming port of Square Enix’s beloved PlayStation 2 JRPG won’t support stereoscopic 3D when it releases in Japan in just a few months.
This past weekend, a piece of promotional art was revealed, showcasing an early glimpse at the two new characters joining the cast of the 3DS version.
Dragon Quest VIII launches on the 3DS in Japan on August 27. There’s still no news of a release in the west, so keep those fingers crossed in the hopes that we’ll get a localization announcement during Square’s E3 press conference.
