Linksys Announces New Router That Prioritize Games

At Gamescom today Linksys announced the WRT32X, a new router that the company is calling “the first true gaming router.”

Developed in collaboration with Rivet Networks, it takes advantage of Rivet’s “Killer Networking Prioritization Engine,” which can prioritize gaming over whatever else is using internet bandwidth on your network.

p dir=”ltr”>That means if you’re maxing out your internet, things like downloads and streaming will automatically slow down to let gaming go faster. However this will only work with “Killer-enabled” PCs, not consoles or mobile gaming.
