Welcooooooome to episode 372 of Nintendo Voice Chat, our weekly talk show for all things Nintendo Switch and 3DS. Brian, Zach, and Peer are back from PAX — and thanks in part to extended flight delays, had plenty of time to play Metroid: Samus Returns while waiting on the tarmac. But we also invited Sam to give his perspective of Nintendo’s first proper Metroid game in seven years (nope, we’re not counting that other one). We’ve invoked the name “Metroid” on this show so many times, we’re still getting used to the fact that we’re this close to the return of the franchise. If you haven’t watched NVC before, this may be a good time to jump in.
Join Brian Altano, Zach Ryan, Peer Schneider, and Samuel Claiborn for much Metroid talk, a rundown of the latest games available for Switch and 3DS, and, of course, what it means that Rockstar is creating a version of L.A. Noire for Nintendo Switch. See, Metroid — you don’t have to feel bad. It’s been eight years since we’ve seen Rockstar anywhere near a Nintendo console!
