Releasing alongside wave four.
Nintendo has announced the Silver Mario amiibo figurine we’ve been lusting after will be available in the United States on May 29 for $12.99.
This confirms rumours we’d heard previously, that the figure would launch alongside the rest of amiibo wave four. Other figures in wave four include Robin, Lucina, Wario, Pac-Man, Ness, and Charizard.
A gold Mario amiibo was released into the wild last month as a Wal-Mart exclusive in the United States, but the company’s confirmed there won’t be any retailer exclusivity this time around, with it available both in stores and online. As you’d expect, it’s fully functional with all titles that work with Mario amiibo.
Earlier this month, one amiibo collector spotted a Silver Mario in nondescript packaging on a Chinese auction site and did what any serious amiibo fan would do and promptly bought it. The collector then posted a video of the amiibo in action with Mario Party 10.
