Ditto, I wasn't gonna say anything here as some have already took the plunge, but Wikipad still vapourware and lots of problems with the Archos, hope the price is competitive...

A review of the Archos GamePad has been posted on Android Central with a hands on video:  Archos GamePad Review.

Interesting stuff, be interested to see what GF thinks of that review?

Just watched he video review, yeah it's positive enough, but after 5 months of owning one, I'll have to be doing a reset, possible due an update as since the last 6wks , yes I'm a lazy git :20: , and the battery life has shrunk from 3-4 hrs now to about 2-2hrs 45min during play and 2hrs netting..but I've discovered that the battery they've used is shite to begin with in order to keep costs down and I'm not prepared to do the battery mod that's out there. Also the screen has deteriorated with what appears to be screen tearing or LCD crystals are not doing what they are supposed to do? But remember I was one of the first the get one of these, And i reckon i could be paying the price for that privilege now.

Don't get me wrong I love the device and it is brilliant for android emulation, I can't take that away from it, and new games that can be configured or automatically configured out of the box, make it perfect forming on the go, I still recommend this device, as I'm sure quality build has improved since I got mine, so fingers crossed if I do need to send it back, I won't have shitty bullshit hassle these companies are known for.

Thanks for the update, GF.  Hard to believe the battery is so bad!Â
