New RVG Game Database & My RVG – start building your collection! 🎮

[zapiy]

We've been working on something we've wanted to do with RVG for a long time...

🎮 The new RVG Game Database is here!

We're building a huge searchable database of retro games, covering a growing number of classic platforms.

You can browse games and see information such as:

- Game artwork
- Platform
- Release year
- Developer
- Publisher
- Game descriptions
- Reviews
- Community discussions

And the database is still growing automatically, so expect the number of games to keep increasing over the coming weeks.

👤 My RVG

We've also introduced My RVG.

When you're logged into your RVG account, you can start building your own collection.

Find a game you own and simply select:

OWNED

Or if you're currently playing it:

PLAYING

Finished it?

COMPLETED

Want it?

WISHLIST

Your collection is then available through your RVG profile.

It's the beginning of what we eventually want to turn into a much bigger personal retro gaming profile.
We're planning things like achievements, activity tracking and more further down the line.

🔗 And this is where it gets interesting...

We're building RVG so that the different parts of the site actually connect together.

A game can eventually lead you to:
🎮 The Game Database
⭐ An RVG review
💬 A forum discussion
👤 Your personal collection
📸 Artwork and screenshots
📅 Related events

So instead of having a database, a magazine and a forum sitting separately, we're building them into one connected retro gaming community.

There's still loads to do — but we've made a start.

Have a look and let us know what you think.

And if you find a game you remember from years ago...

add it to your collection and tell us what you're playing! 🎮
